The algorithm generates prices on your Smartpricing calendar that you can monitor and adjust as needed. The prices published on the calendar are then sent to your Channel Manager and mapped to a pricing plan that you specify. This pricing plan may include rules for derivations and discounts that apply to other pricing plans and sales channels such as OTAs.
For example, if Smartpricing publishes a price of 100 Euros, which is then sent to your "standard rate," it's possible that your channel has sent the price to Booking.com, where there is a 10% discount for Genius customers and a 10% discount for mobile device users. As a result, some users may see a significantly lower price than what was initially published on Smartpricing.
In this case, we ask you to review the derivation rules in your management system and the discounts present on the portals.
