Capabilities and limitations of connectivity providers (Channel Manager and PMS)
This list is dedicated to highlighting any technical limitations and features for the individual providers we currently work with. These characteristics, which are beyond our control, determine some fundamental processes of our algorithm, specifically data reading and price writing.
If a provider is not listed, it means that, at present, we have not identified any issues to report.
Please note that:

Price writing is not in real-time, and timings may vary from a few seconds to several minutes depending on the technical capabilities of the management system.

Booking reading is not in real-time, and it may vary from a few minutes to several hours depending on the provider being used.
Management System: 5 Stelle
Price Writing Limitations:
-
Daily limits are set by the integration on the number of operations that can be performed by the RMS. These operations are usually managed and processed automatically via a queue by Smartpricing, which may result in potential delays in certain transmissions.

If a minimum or maximum price is set for a room type within 5 Stelle, Smartpricing will not be able to overwrite prices below the minimum or above the maximum set.
Booking Reading Limitations:

If a booking is not assigned to a room type, it will not be visible to Smartpricing.
-
If a booking is deleted without being canceled first, Smartpricing will not detect the cancellation.
Management System: Apaleo
Bookings are sent to Smartpricing directly by the management system, with frequencies and timings not managed by the RMS.
Price Writing Limitations:

Smartpricing can only send prices for standard occupancy, not for all occupancies.
Other Limitations:

Room blocks are not communicated to Smartpricing, which may lead to discrepancies between Apaleo's occupancy and Smartpricing in some cases.
Management System: BBplanner
Price Writing Limitations:

If a minimum or maximum price is set for a room type within BBplanner, Smartpricing cannot set prices below or above the limits set.
Booking Reading Limitations:

Bookings are sent to Smartpricing directly by the management system, with frequencies and timings not managed by the RMS.

Smartpricing cannot overwrite prices for derived rates in Beddy.
Management System: Beds24
Price Writing Limitations:

If a booking is made through iCal, Smartpricing will not be able to read it unless the nightly price is entered within Beds24.

To allow Smartpricing to transmit prices to Beds24, ensure the "Allow Writes" flag is set to "Yes" in the "Settings → Access → API Key1" section.
Management System: BookinGenius | BeGenius
Price Writing Limitations:

Smartpricing can only send prices for one rate plan. Any additional plans must be derived within the management system.

Booking Reading Limitations:

Occupancy calculations may differ between Smartpricing and Cloudbeds when room blocks (e.g., "Out of Order") are present, as these are handled differently in the two systems.

Smartpricing can transmit prices only if the price lists are preconfigured for the desired period.
Booking Reading Limitations:

If bookings are created as provisional/blocked without assigning a room type in Cloudhotel, they are not recognized by Smartpricing. Additionally, such bookings might cause slight revenue misalignments between the management system and Smartpricing.
Management System: Dirs21
Price Writing Limitations:

Smartpricing cannot overwrite prices for derived rates in Dirs21.
Booking Reading Limitations:
-
Smartpricing cannot read bookings with a checkout date earlier than the connection date with Dirs21.
-
Dirs21 does not communicate upgrades or downgrades to bookings performed on connected PMSs, which limits Smartpricing’s ability to process these changes.
Management System: DotHotel
Price Writing Limitations:

Smartpricing can only price standard occupancy for room types.
-
DotHotel can receive prices for room types for up to 419 days.
Management System: Elite
Booking Reading Limitations:

Elite can send Smartpricing only two years of historical data from the activation date (extendable to three years upon request).

Management System: Ericsoft
Price Writing Limitations:

To receive Smartpricing rates, the Ericsoft calendar must be pre-opened with seasonality for the entire 500-day period.
-
Occasionally, delays in updating rates in Ericsoft’s calendar occur despite Smartpricing receiving confirmation of receipt. These delays are due to Ericsoft’s processing time, not Smartpricing.
-
The "automatic acceptance of suggested prices" feature must be enabled in Ericsoft to receive prices from Smartpricing.
Booking Reading Limitations:
-
Ericsoft only communicates the requested room type, not the assigned one. This means upgrades/moves are not communicated.
-
In cases where a booking involves a room change during the stay, Ericsoft only provides information about the first room type for the entire stay. The actual change is only reported on the day it occurs, referencing the new room type for the entire stay.
Management System: Ermeshotel
Price Writing Limitations:
-
Prices sent by Smartpricing are not displayed correctly for dates marked as unavailable. Once availability is reopened, prices should display correctly.
-
If the "Fixed Rate Levels" flag is active in Ermeshotel, all days will be overwritten by the last transmitted price from Smartpricing.
Booking Reading Limitations:
-
If a booking is modified during the stay (e.g., early departure), updated data is not transmitted to Smartpricing, preventing the update from being displayed.
Management System: Guesty
Price Writing Limitations:

Integration imposes limits on the number of operations the RMS can perform. These are managed via a queue by Smartpricing, leading to potential delays in transmissions.

Booking Reading Limitations:

If a booking is modified after check-in, the modification is not communicated to Smartpricing, which will continue to reflect the "old" data.

For cloud customers, data updates from Hotelcube to Smartpricing occur once a day. Consequently, new bookings or modifications may take up to 24 hours to be reflected in Smartpricing.
Management System: InReception
Price Writing Limitations:
-
If a large number of prices are requested to be transmitted by Smartpricing, the process may take a significant amount of time due to the type of integration developed.
-
To enable Smartpricing to send prices, at least two years of calendar data must be associated with seasonality in InReception.
Other Limitations:
-
If access credentials to InReception are modified, it is necessary to inform Smartpricing. Otherwise, price transmission and booking retrieval services will be interrupted.
-
The services for retrieving bookings and sending prices are also interrupted if the InReception account is not renewed.
Management System: Krossbooking
Price Writing Limitations:
-
Integration imposes limits on the number of operations that can be performed by the RMS. These are managed automatically via a queue by Smartpricing, potentially causing delays in transmissions.

Occasionally, updates to rates sent to Krossbooking may experience delays, even though Smartpricing has received confirmation of receipt. This is due to temporary congestion on Krossbooking servers.

In Krossbooking, room types can have minimum prices and revenue rules. If active, these settings may conflict with rates sent by Smartpricing.

Other Limitations:

The revenue section in Krossbooking includes bookings overlapping the selected period and the subsequent one (only part of the nights belong to the period of interest). This may lead to discrepancies between Krossbooking and Smartpricing data.

If the Krossbooking account expires and is not renewed, the connection with Smartpricing is automatically interrupted.
-
If the legal entity or property name is changed in Krossbooking, ensure the API credentials are updated accordingly. Otherwise, the connection with Smartpricing will be interrupted until the correct data is entered.

Bookings are automatically sent to Smartpricing only once a day during the daily closure process.
Other Limitations:

There is a button in MyAlb to force instant synchronization (for both bookings and prices): SERVICE → INTERFACES → SMART PRICING → EXECUTE.

If the "closure" process is not completed automatically or manually in MyAlb, bookings are not sent to Smartpricing, and MyAlb does not retrieve prices from the RMS.
Management System: Octorate
Price Writing Limitations:

Ensure OCTO RMS is disabled; otherwise, it will conflict with the price transmission from Smartpricing to Octorate (the same applies to other active API connections, e.g., Dylog).
Booking Reading Limitations:
-
In Octorate, the "split" function can move bookings between room types. This only visually changes the assigned type in the management system's tableau. This may result in discrepancies with the data received and displayed by Smartpricing.

Price Writing Limitations:

Passepartout has two environments: PMS (Smartcloud) and Channel Manager (SBM). Currently, Smartpricing is only connected to the Channel Manager.

Automations called "ranges" in the PMS (Smartcloud) can overwrite prices sent by Smartpricing if they are active. These must be deactivated by changing the setting from "automatic" to "manual."
-
"Blocked prices" (marked with striped backgrounds in the Channel Manager's price calendar) cannot be updated by Smartpricing as they are directly configured in Passepartout.
-
Since Smartpricing writes prices for 500 days, it is optimal for the calendar in the Channel Manager (SBM) to be configured for the entire update period.
Booking Reading Limitations:
-
If bookings in the Channel Manager (SBM) are not aligned with those in the PMS (Smartcloud), manual alignment is required, or assistance must be requested from your reseller.

Modifications made to bookings in the PMS (Smartcloud) that are not transmitted to the Channel Manager (SBM) cannot be read by Smartpricing.

The calendar in Roomcloud must have availability synchronized with all connected channels. Otherwise, a rack rate will be displayed in the management system, which cannot be updated by Smartpricing.

Management System: Simplebooking
Price Writing Limitations:

Integration imposes daily limits on the number of operations the RMS can perform. These are managed automatically via a queue by Smartpricing, potentially causing delays in certain transmissions.

If a rate plan preconfigured in Simplebooking has multiple treatments, Smartpricing is obligated to price all treatments (pre-existing automatic derivations between treatments will no longer function).
-
If a room type in Simplebooking derives its price automatically from another type priced by Smartpricing, this derivation will no longer function, and Smartpricing will need to price the previously derived type directly.
Booking Reading Limitations:
-
Approximately every hour, Smartpricing requests Simplebooking to send new bookings and/or modifications to existing bookings (if any). However, there is a limit of approximately 100 bookings that Simplebooking can send at once.
- Cancellation dates are not received, making it impossible to accurately calculate the on-the-books value on the data dashboard.
Management System: SGS
Price Writing Limitations:

To ensure there are no dates for which Smartpricing cannot send prices, it is recommended to keep the SGS calendar open for the entire 500-day period covered by Smartpricing.
Booking Reading Limitations:
-
Ensure all resource-related charge entries are correctly configured in SGS so that bookings can be transmitted to Smartpricing.
-
Verify that the "REVP" code is set in all relevant rate entries to pass them as the BASE for associated rate entries.
Management System: Slope
Price Writing Limitations:
-
Smartpricing cannot overwrite prices for derived rates in Slope.
-
Integration imposes per-minute limits on the number of operations that can be performed by the RMS. These are managed automatically via a queue by Smartpricing, potentially causing delays in certain transmissions.

Due to the nature of the integration, Smartpricing must price all occupancies of each room type, including those set as "not on sale" in Slope. Pricing such occupancies will inevitably reopen them for sale.
-
If the occupancy of a room type is changed (increased or decreased), contact Smartpricing to update the configuration. Otherwise, price transmission may be blocked.
Booking Reading Limitations:

If a booking is deleted without being marked as canceled first, Smartpricing will not detect the cancellation.
Management System: Smoobu
Other Limitations:

Booking retrieval and price transmission services are interrupted if the Smoobu account is not renewed or if its trial period ends.

If a booking does not have a RatePlan, Smartpricing receives an error and cannot retrieve the booking.

Booking history is limited to those created up to 12 months before the connection date.

Once the connection with Smartpricing is active, it will no longer be possible to close sales by simply not setting a price for a period in the calendar. Instead, availability must be reduced to zero or the "closed for sale" functionality must be used.
